NZCPS Policies and Implications
The New Zealand Coastal Policy Statement (NZCPS) is a document that would be of interest to most New Zealanders since it affects the way we manage our coastal environment. (Introduction to Implications of the NZCPS 2010 for New Zealand communities - see attached)
The analysis of the NZ Coastal Policy Statement (54 pages) identifies key changes to the Policy and examines the policies with the objective to provide analysis of key issues and options for interested parties to consider further in responding to the NZCPS 2010 at regional and local levels. The intention is to highlight aspects of interpretation that are important to meeting the objectives of the NZCPS 2010. Included are 'References and further reading' and Appendices 1. Surf Breaks of National Significance and 2. Principles to be applied when considering a biodiversity offset Please respond with your comments and experiences regarding any of the policies. |
